If I lived here...
And had a canvas this size...
I would have painted this in oils and chalk and probably would have used real leaves....
...rather than painting it in pixels.
Part of me really digs the digital age, but another part of me rather misses working in traditional media.

Thinking of Autumn
I did this. Digitally, on SAI, with a custom brush I created all by myself. All while a baby was napping.
I'm proud of this.
I'm proud of this.
It feels good to have made something I actually enjoy looking at, rather than experimental doodling that I am tempted to delete at the earliest convenience.
I want to make more pretty things more often.

Kind of Breaking Hiatus...
Having a baby has seriously slowed me down. And I was already crawling so...yeah. But sweet little sister, Comicstrip (see her work here and here) has hooked me up with SAI. In my (limited) free-time I've been playing with it.
The pencil tool is fun:
Eyes in general are fun:
And other things too embarrassingly poor in quality to post. Heh.
Cheers!

Still Not Totally Done...
I wanted to ink it, but I'm just so attached to my pencils...
Still not satisfied with the hair...
Query: if you were to color this, what colors would you choose? Naturalistic? Monochromatic? Sunset palette?
Go on, don't be timid, speak up. Inquiring minds want to know!

Things I Will Eventually Finish
I started with this:
I had planned to fill the page and ink all of them...but then I got bored. So I moved on to this:
And that was fun...but then I got bored again. So I did this:
I was overcome with the desire to draw a girl with crazy hair and a cat.

Are you wondering where the cat is?
Yeah, so am I.

Puppets in Color! :-O
I've been pretty dead to the world - in real life as well as on the net. Although I've been dead, I feel it important for you to know that I have not been idle.
...well, not completely idle...
I painted this!
I realized too late that I put the light source on the wrong side from what I had originally imagined. Oh well. It wasn't that big of a deal.
Well, enough of that. I'ma go be idle summore.

These Comic Strips May or May Not be Funny...
These are based on absolutely true stories. They all happened. Word for word.
First: Jordan and Marco. These two would banter with each other during work in a most interesting and entertaining way. These banters would start because Jordan's boredom resulted in impromptu snatches of songs (sometimes real, others invented) and random questions that he would pose to Marco. So they would each try to "one up" the other without really understanding the rules of their unspoken game. I loved to watch this. Unfortunately, I only thought to write a few of them down before I was transferred to another department and they weren't even the best Jordan & Marco moments.
I will try my very best to remember more...until then, enjoy:
This last one is a conversation I overheard in the office, word for word. This boy, Josh, would come up with the most inane conversation topics. This was heard after about 2 hours of complete silence. No provocation. No previous conversation to explain his random thoughts.
As I attempted to warn you in the title, these are probably only funny to me. And anyone else who worked in that awful soul-sucking office. Or perhaps any soul-sucking office. If you can relate, leave a comment, and we will commiserate.
